Education

Through our academic scholarships, we provide young Itsekiris the financial support they need to access quality education and improve their prospects. Our vocational training programs also equip individuals with essential skills that make them competitive in today’s workforce, ensuring they have the ability to support themselves and their families.
We have also invested heavily in building the necessary infrastructure for effective learning. Over the years, Itsekiri National Congress USA has funded the construction and stocking of libraries, computer labs, and learning centers across the Niger Delta. These spaces not only serve as educational hubs but also provide internet access and training, particularly in areas where educational resources are scarce.

Healthcare
In regions where access to healthcare is limited, Itsekiri National Congress USA has made a significant difference by offering critical medical services to those in need. Our Vision Health Program, launched in partnership with local clinics and hospitals, has provided thousands of individuals with access to free cataract surgeries, eyeglasses, and vision screenings. These services have given people the gift of sight, enabling them to lead more productive and fulfilling lives. In addition to vision care, our healthcare outreach programs offer a range of services from preventive care to critical treatments for underserved families.
Our most notable initiative, the Itsekiri Health Insurance Program (IHIP), launched in 2022, is a game-changer for low-income families. This subsidized or free HMO-style health insurance ensures that even the poorest families can access medical care without the fear of overwhelming medical bills.

Through our clean water projects, we have also addressed one of the most pressing issues in the Niger Delta: access to safe drinking water. These projects have drastically reduced waterborne diseases and improved health outcomes for thousands of people. Alongside water projects, we engage communities in climate change awareness and action, helping them adapt to environmental changes while promoting sustainability.
